Instructional Design in the Digital Age (ID11120)

Instructional Design: Introduction to Approaches for Teaching & Learning in the Digital Age will present an overview of practices and approaches being applied in creation of course designs in consideration of promising pedagogies and educational technologies. This course will run through fundamental concepts in instructional design, provide an introduction to project-based learning and compare traditional face-to-face programs with programs influenced by digital intervention such as blended learning and distance education environments. In addition, participants will be made familiar with a range of tools and technologies being used in online teaching and learning. After completion of this course, participants will be equipped with an up-to-date understanding of key concepts and effective pedagogies as well as tools that can help craft better learning experiences for students.
